In purely practical terms, Hollands are built for plenty of use and long life. Blind motors are made from strong engineering grade plastics and products are tested for periods equivalent to a "real" life of 50 years.
Quality fabrics are a key to the durability of Holland blinds. Both Twilight and Softlight Polyester-based fabrics are sanitised to resist rot and mildew - a great advantage for use in bathrooms, kitchens and laundries. Cleaning is as easy as a wipe with a soft cloth and the special coating resists stains. Twilight fabrics are also fire-retardant. Both Twilight and Softlight fabrics won't shrink and are fade resistant.
