Solar control window film is an amazing product packed with consumer benefits such as solar heat control, lower energy costs, improved comfort, fade protection, safety and security.

Solar control film reduces the amount of visible light being transmitted through glass, reducing glare and increasing privacy.

Solar control films perform the same function as both tinted and reflective glass. Window films will often offer a greater variety of shades, colour & performance levels.

• Safety Film: Strong clear or tinted film (100 microns) that bonds to the glass to decrease injuries when the glass is broken. It is used to upgrade non-conforming glass to comply with Safety Glazing Standard AS/NZS 2208.

• Security Film: Thicker than Safety Film ie. 175, 200 & 275 microns. Stronger laminated clear or tinted film that bonds to the glass to resist unwelcome intrusion even when the glass is broken. It will help to protect your property from theft and vandalism.

• Decorative Film: Simulates factory etched glass. Gives privacy but allows light into the room. Often used in bathrooms, front doors and also at the office. It can even be cut as your company logo.

• Anti-Graffiti Film: It is a tough film suitable for interior and exterior surfaces such as glass, mirrors and stainless steel. Used as a sacrifice surface as it can be removed and replaced cheaper and easier than glass or steel.

Does the film go on the inside or the outside of the window?
Generally to an internal surface.
Will the films stop my carpet and other fabrics from fading?
They all have > 98% UV reduction, even the clear safety films. UV rays are the largest cause of fading of materials in the home and office.
Can the film be scratched easily?
No, they have a tough scratch resistant surface that will easily tolerate normal day to day use.
What do I need to do before the installer arrives?
Provide access to the immediate area i.e. furniture and window treatments. It is not necessary to clean the glass.
Can you fit all films on all kinds of glass?
No, an incorrect film choice when fitted to the thicker or laminated glass panels could present a problem of thermal stress and therefore cracks might develop.
