"I recently purchased a newly released Brother Multifunction Centre retailed at $1499. My best price was $1449. Shoprite's price was $1227.00 for cash. What a great saving! When making big purchases I always run around from shop to shop like a crazed idiot to obtain 'best prices' - I think now I will just get the one quote & go direct to Shop Rite.
I have been a member forever & must say that I am a bit of a silly sausage as I should have taken advantage of Shop Rite eons ago!

I wanted a 'new' car so took the plunge and emailed Shoprite and was contacted by Billy Cocks straight away. He was very easy to talk to and I was very comfortable dealing with him. He also phoned almost daily keeping to update me with his progress. Being at the opposite end of the State to the big car salesyards and not having the experience of buying a used car was made so much easier by Billy doing the legwork for me. After I decided to buy the car he had found Billy arranged for it to be put on the truck and took it to the company to transport up to me. I reckon this service is great. I've purchased a dishwasher, Pioneer DVD player and a large air cooler so far and I've saved over $200 on the best price I could haggle the sales people down to and over $320 on thier regular sales price! I watched a guy in a shop the other day try and haggle his way down in price on exactly the same model of Pioneer DVD player I had purchased two days earlier and he got nowhere near the price Shop Rite was able to get for me. Late last year my husband and I had decided that we needed to buy a new car. We agreed what our needs were and how much we could afford and after conducting some research on the internet and visiting new car showrooms finally decided on a new Mazda.
I wanted to get the best deal so I contacted Shop Rite and was put in touch with Billy. I spoke with Billy on the Monday and we picked up our new car on Wednesday.

Recommendation from a member: I recently had to purchase an entire bathroom's worth of fixtures and fittings (basins, taps, towel rails etc) and noticed that Plumbtec in Osborne Park offered discounts to CSA/CPSU members. Recently my husband and I decided to purchase a new car, a Subaru Forrester. After some research, discussions with dealers etc we decided to use the Shop Rite service offered by the HSU.
This is the first time we have used the service and we are delighted with the outcome. The particular Motor Vehicle Consultant was Ken Houston.
From the outset he was very professional and enthusiastic. Most importantly he really took the time to understand what we were looking for. For example we wanted to establish a positive working relationship with the successful dealer so we could continue to do business in the future (we now have 2 Subarus). He also followed up after the purchase to ensure all was well.

I have to agree with all the savings feedback. If you value your hard earned dollar, then keeping a few extra in your pocket is where it should stay. I purchased a demo model LG washer which was on the floor at $689 (from $799), best price was $649 and got it delivered for $629. And as it was a demo - no box to dispose of!! With savings like these, my union membership might be tax deductable, but I almost feel like I am the one being paid just to be a member!!"

Just a note to say how pleased I was with Shop Rite's prompt service and also on receiving the 'best' price on my Sony DVD player. For someone who doesn't like to haggle over the price of goods with shop assistants it is great to know I can ring Shop Rite and they will get me the very best price. After being told by the retailer I first went to, that the model I wanted was in very short supply and I would be put on a waiting list, to then being told by your retailer that I could pick the item up the next day and with such a great discount, I can't tell how pleased I was!
