Using ShopRite's service & member verification

ShopRite will only collect personal information about you in the normal course of performing ShopRite business activities, e.g. when placing an enquiry. Such personal information may include:
- Member's full name
- Residential address (no PO boxes)
- Mailing address (PO boxes acceptable)
- Contact phone number
- Name of your Union/Association if applicable
- Union/Association membership number if applicable

This information helps us to keep the service exclusive to genuine members and also means that member's details are accurate, avoiding the delays that can occur if contact phone numbers or addresses are not current. Verification of the member's eligibility to purchase through ShopRite will be checked. Failure to comply with our policy may result in loss of service.

Monitoring our service

Members who consent to receive from time to time ShopRite material about our products and services may be approached by ShopRite to assist us in monitoring our service and member satisfaction. Members who do not consent to participate in these activities will be removed from such lists.

Promotional material

It is ShopRite's policy to maintain a standard of promotional material that complies with our statement regarding third party involvement and advertising. We will not send you "spam" (advertising information) without first asking you whether you wish to have promotional information sent to you. If you are receiving promotional information about ShopRite or its affiliates and do not wish to receive this information any longer, you may remove your name from our list either by following the instructions on how to withdraw or unsubscribe your information provided within the material, or by visiting our website. Any ShopRite promotional material forwarded will be sent to you only from ShopRite. Members contacted in regards to business other than ShopRite related, are to please forward in writing information about the trader to ShopRite.

Collecting, using & disclosing personal information

ShopRite is totally committed to all users and members' privacy and protects your data and security carefully. We will only collect personal information about you if you knowingly provide it and it will not be released to a third party without your consent unless required by law. We do use your information to improve your membership, however we use only aggregate information so that individuals are never identifiable.

ShopRite does not share, disclose, sell, distribute, rent, license, share or pass onto third parties personal information collected at our site or which you have provided to us unless we have your consent to do so.

While ShopRite undertakes all reasonable steps to protect your personal information, no guarantee can be given that information sent over the Internet is always 100% secure. Sending and receiving information over the Internet is at the user's own risk, however we will do everything we reasonably can to ensure your data's security once we receive it.

Only authorised ShopRite personnel have access to your personal information, which we maintain in a secure environment. It is ShopRite's policy to never request your credit card details in an email. Do not ever submit your credit card details in email format.

Collection of credit card details & processing

Collection of credit card details is conducted purely for transactions. All card details are used for a single transaction only and are not retained. All online credit card transactions are encrypted.
