The TH-L47ET5A delivers ultra smooth motion and a wide viewing angle with brilliant colour and contrast in Full-HD for 2D and HD for 3D images. New developments to our In Plane Switching (IPS) technology offer industry-leading panel performance, including a 178 degree vertical viewing angle. The addition of the Clear Panel filter means that external reflections are suppressed, ensuring crisp picture quality, deep shades of black and vibrant images. As this model utililises passive 3D technology, it is fantastic if you have found active-shutter eyewear to be heavy and uncomfortable, or simply too expensive. The TH-L47ET5A works with passive 3D glasses, which do not rely on expensive electronics or batteries in order to produce a realistic 3D experience. Instead, they create the illusion of depth by blocking out different kinds of light from each eye.

Unique backlight scanning technology takes the blur out of fast motion
Experience smooth, fast-moving picture quality without the blur, thanks to our 300Hz Backlight Scanning (BLS) technology. By adding newly generated frames and scanning the backlight, the eye receives more precise information on the moving object to perceive the whole image more sharply and smoothly. This method has vastly improved the high-speed drive performance of our IPS LED TVs.
