The E-PL2 is the latest feature-packed entry-level PEN camera that's both a genuine SLR-quality compact camera, and an HD video camera in one.

With its stylish ergonomic shape, the E-PL2 features a new fast-focusing kit zoom lens that is optimised for HD video capture, a maximum ISO capability of 6400 and a highest shutter speed of 1/4000th second for true action stopping power.

 Fast focusing speed with new kit lens

The new M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm MkII kit lens features Olympus' MSC focus drive technology that makes focusing silent and super-quick.

Experience silky smooth, jerk-free continous autofocus tracking when you capture HD video, just as you would with a normal camcorder.

For added versatility, this new wide-angle kit lens lets you easily use highly affordable, optional extra-wide angle, fisheye and macro conversion lenses to shoot video or stills with interesting perspectives. 

With total lens interchangeability in the E-PL2, you have a choice of a total of 6 high performance Olympus M.Zuiko series PEN lenses ranging from ultra-wide to super-telephoto, with even more lenses coming in the future.

Your lens options are truly wide as a large number of other-brand Micro-Four Thirds and Four Thirds type lenses (usable on the E-PL2 via the optional MMF-2 adapter) can also be used with the E-PL2!

New accessory port AP2

The E-PL2 is the first PEN camera to sport the latest AP-2 accessory port that enables the use of a new range of PEN accessories such as as the PENPAL Bluetooth module PP-1 for direct transfer of images to mobile phones.

Also launching with the E-PL2 is the new Macro Arm Light MAL-1 accessory that's entirely powered by the camera. This new lighting accessory is perfect for illuminating small objects such as jewelry and miniature models.

All previously available PEN accessories such as the fabulous VF-2 external viewfinder as well as the SEMA-1 external stereo microphone adapter (which gives the camera a stereo sound recording capability) can be used with this updated accessory port.
