As part of our innovative support service we keep you updated on the latest changes within the industry that could affect you, your property or your income.
As you may already be aware, Residual Current Devices (RCD’s, safety switches) and Smoke Alarms save lives. Beat the rush to comply with the proposed new 2009 legislation changes. As owners of residential or rental property you will be required to fit at least two (2) RCD’s in homes, where not already fitted, before they are sold or leased.
New subsidiary legislation relating to the installation of mains-powered smoke alarms is under development. The regulations require that homes and rental properties have (2) mains-powered smoke alarms professionally installed before they can be sold or leased. These regulations will be passed as law by the end of 2009.

HOUS can quote on any installation work, call for a free quote. Shop Rite members receive a 10% discount. During normal hours the standard rate is $80 plus GST, Shop Rite members only pay $72 plus GST. Normal hours 7 am to 5 pm. Outside of normal hours the standard is a 1 hour call out fee of $80 plus an hourly rate of $80, both plus GST. Shop Rite members receive a 10% discount on both fees.
